Owl Promise Program
The Owl Promise Program is FAU's commitment to supporting students with the greatest financial need.
If you qualify, you'll be named an Owl Promise Scholar, and ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥will cover 100% of your tuition and mandatory fees through a combination of federal, state, and university grants.
There is no application required: if you are eligible, the Office of Student Financial Aid will automatically notify you.
Initial Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Be a first-time-in-college freshman
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be a Florida resident
- Submit the FAFSA by FAU's published priority deadline
- Have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 0 or less
- Enroll full-time during the fall and spring semesters
Annual Renewal Requirements
To continue receiving the Owl Promise Scholar designation each year, you must:
- Submit the FAFSA by the priority deadline and maintain a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 0 or less
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
- Complete 30 credit hours each academic year

- Eligibility to waive Admissions tuition deposit
- Priority financial aid packaging each year
- Eligibility to participate in Presidential Mentoring Program
