Damage Assessment and Reporting

·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥ requires prompt and accurate damage assessment following a storm or major emergency. Timely documentation is essential for resource allocation, determining the need for external assistance, and supporting eligibility for FEMA reimbursement.

Why Damage Assessment Matters

Accurate and timely damage assessment helps to:

  • Direct resources to the areas of greatest need.
  • Determine if damages exceed available unit or university resources.
  • Document losses for potential FEMA Public Assistance reimbursement.

Who Reports

Damage assessments are conducted and reported by:

  • Unit/College/Division Damage Assessment Teams
  • University-wide Damage Assessment Teams

Reporting Process

  • Urgent Safety Hazards
    • Immediately report urgent safety hazards to the ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥Police Department (FAPD) at (561) 297-3500.
  • Documentation
    • Take multiple, clear photos of all damage.
    • Label each photo appropriately.
  • Reporting
    • Complete all required fields in the ·¬ÇÑÖ±²¥Damage Assessment Form (included below).
  • Submission
